Have fun and have value

Qaiku is all about fun and network collaboration. Create your activity stream and follow others', reach for help and give back as well and more than anything, join the meaningful conversations with your friends, co-workers and strangers (that might become your friends).

Private and public (and everything between)

Collaborate and discuss with other users in Qaiku channels which can be open to everybody or to just people you invite. Share only what you want to who you want: your qaikus can be public to all, only to other qaikuers or to only your contacts.

Genuinely multi-lingual

Write content in any language you want. See only content written in languages you understand (or want to learn)

There are other services out there - why make one more?

There are tons of so called microblogging services out there, some of which are pretty good. There's twitter which is big, there was pownce which is already dead, there's jaiku which we really really like, and then there are others.

So why make one more? It's the typical story; mainly because we can and because we aren't happy with the other services. They might be right and best for some, but not for us. Jaiku was quite close, though, but unfortunately nothing happened after Google bought the service, and we really aren't holding our breath that anything ever will.

Pronounciation

Okay, we know this might be a little bit tricky (and yes, we know it's a classical mistake to give a web service a name that is hard to spell correctly - we are just not comprehending ;))!

As we live in Finland we like to pronounce the name (a little bit incorrectly) as 'kaiku'. 'Kaiku' means 'echo' and we all want to have our own echo chamber, don't we? As there are millions (well, almost) languages out there, we will not give out a written pronounciation guide.

But wait, do we have a sound clip? Oh yes, we do!
